We’ve seen a lot of demand internationally for xocashflow so we’re proud as punch to announce even more countries that have support for our fabulous app.
We can announce that we now officially support:
- Hong Kong,
- Thailand, as well as
All seventeen countries in the Eurozone:
We’d like to point out that while we have rolled out to countries that speak a vast range of wonderful languages, service and support will continue to be delivered only in the English language at this stage.
The xocashflow team loves our own app so very much that we simply can’t keep to our own country of origin (Australia).
We’re proud to say that we have integration and support for these countries:
- New Zealand
- United States
- United Kingdom
and today we’d like to announce support for:
- Singapore, and
- South Africa
Not located in one of these countries? Don’t worry! We’re interested in expanding our support to other countries dependent on user demand. Get in contact with our Support Center and we’ll be right onto it.
A little earlier this year, accounting and bookkeeping cloud software advisory website Cloud Adviser hosted a weekly webinar in which they reviewed our very own Xero add-on, xocashflow. You can listen to the full review in the video below:
Would you rather be chasing up debts instead? Here’s the gist of what they liked and didn’t like:
- xocashflow is really well designed, really easy to use and did exactly what it said
- Liked the ability to exempt clients
- Really easy to set up
- Really good price point
- Reporting and Dashboard are a bit light in features
- Different pricing plans aren’t available (NB: Since recording, the Advisor Dashboard is now available)
We at xocashflow appreciate this feedback and are endeavouring to solve these as well as providing a happy experience for all of our customers.
Want to have your say? Get in touch with the team through the Support Center and we’ll be glad to assist.
Team xocashflow has been hard at work to provide you with the best Xero add-on we possibly can make. And thanks to our customers’ feedback, we’re getting even better one feature at a time.
This new feature pictured above will now remind you in the dashboard whenever there’s an overdue invoice that will lapse into another reminder period starting on the next day. So, if you’ve fallen behind with keeping paid invoices up to date and don’t want to send two reminders, one for the current period and another for the next, you can exempt them from receiving an email from both periods.
Even the small things count here at xocashflow, and we’re forever endeavouring to make this work even better for you. Have a bug, issue or feature request? Submit it to the xocashflow Support Center today.
Here at xocashflow, we're always tinkering away in the background, making our Xero addon the very best it possibly can be. And with your feedback, we've whipped up a few new exciting features and changes. These include:
- Credit note and partial payment supporrt
- Friendlier email response buttons
- Enhanced search and sorting within Xero Clients & Xero Invoices sections
- Enhanced logo uploader
- Multi-currency support (Euros, Pounds and Dollars)
- Reminder send history
- Support for USA formatted dates (MM/DD/YYYY)
These features are available and ready for your use inside of xocashflow.
As always, if you wish to request a new feature, a bug or problem with xocashflow, please visit our Support Center. We'll be more than happy to help!
xocashflow has recently changed the eligibility criteria surrounding our Advisor Dashboard feature, to better protect our users. As a result of this, new Advisor Dashboard accounts will now require the advisor to be an existing Xero Bronze partner (or above) in order to become eligible for the Advisor Dashboard.
The good news surrounding this criteria, however - when successful in signing up to the Advisor Dashboard, you will now receive a bonus XO Silver account, as well as a free client demo account to show your clients. This means there's no more need to test drive xocashflow inside your own account!
The client demo account resets every 15 minutes and functions very much like an active account. It will run through notes, invoices, contacts, activity, settings, and the sync and send. The sync and send functionality will send to your adviser account email address so you can show your clients how the emails will come through. The account will also simulate a sync of contacts and invoices.
We at xocashflow value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts about this change. If you want to get in touch regarding this change, or if you encounter a bug, wish to request a feature, have questions about xocashflow or anything in between, click here to view the xocashflow Support Center.
Get started with the xocashflow Adviser Dashboard today.
Firstly, sign up for an XO Silver or (coming soon) XO Gold account through our website.
Once signed up, sign into xocashflow and navigate to the XO Settings page, then click the Adviser Requests tab.
You will then see a page similar to the image below:
When you’re ready, submit your request to gain access to the Adviser Dashboard by choosing your Profession and clicking Submit. Your submission will now be processed, and you may have to wait for up to 48 hours for your request to be approved.
If your request is successful, you will now have access to the XO Adviser page, as shown below:
On this page, you have two options in order to add clients – either sign up a new client (allowing you to pay on behalf of the client), or connect with an existing user of xocashflow.
To sign up a new client: Click on the ‘Signup New Client’ button on the XO Adviser page, and enter in the client’s details in the page that follows (as shown below). Choose whether the client or the adviser will receive the account’s notifications, and when ready, click the ‘Signup & Pay’ button, where you’ll then pay on behalf of the client. When completed, the new client’s company will appear in the XO Adviser page, where you will be given the option to log in to their account.
To connect with an existing client: Click on the ‘Connect with Existing Client’ button on the XO Adviser page. Enter in your client’s email address, first ensuring that this is the same email address in which they set up xocashflow, and click Submit Request. Your client will then receive a notification asking if they would allow access to their xocashflow account. If this request is successful, this client’s company will appear in the XO Adviser page, where you will be given the option to log in to their account.
The moment we've been diligently working towards for several months has finally arrived. Today, xocashflow received formal acknowledgement as a Xero Add-On partner app.
Though xocashflow launched to the general public last month and was fully functional, it was an unofficial add-on at the time. This is how all Xero add-ons begin their lives; humbly and alone. Before receiving acknowledgement, a Xero add-on must be tested by some savvy folk from Xero's API team and must prove itself in the marketplace. To their credit, Xero require apps to have active members using the system prior to receiving an official stamp and, as an additional level of quality assurance, some of the early members are actually interviewed by the Xero team in order to gauge their satisfaction with the system.
This process helps to ensure that those Add-Ons that are officially acknoledged and listed on the Xero website are of a suitably high level el of reliability and usability, so as to represent this emerging cloud accounting ecosystem well.
Being listed as an official Add-On Partner helps to demonstrate our commitment to the long-term viability of xocashflow and to its ongoing refinement.
Our listing may be found here: http://www.xero.com/advisors/solutions/payment/
While xocashflow doesn't contain nearly as much sensitive information as your Xero account, it's still very important that you choose a password that is hard to crack. We recommend a password containing a combination of both uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as at least one number and a special character.
It's also a good idea to not use the same password for both xocashflow and Xero. Keeping them separate will give you added security.
As an automated measure to protect customers, we have added a password strength detection tool to xocashflow, which will determine during the signup process whether the password you're choosing is too simple and vulnerable and will prompt you to create one that is a little more complex. You always have the ability to change your password from within your xocashflow interface should you choose, but the more secure you keep this, the better.
Excitingly, xocashflow is growing at such a rapid rate that we've only just had a chance to blog about some of the new features that has debuted since launch. The first of these is the ability to "preview" what each email will look like before it is sent.
One of the features that sets xocashflow apart from similar services on the market is the level of control it offers to bookkeepers, accountants and business owners. As well as having a manual send function, allowing email reminders to be sent when you choose and only after you've reconciled your accounts, xocashflow allows you to exempt particular customers and individual invoices from the follow-up process. The system also produces a list of who will receive an email notification during a particular send and now enables you to preview each of those emails, should you choose.
The new Preview function inserts personalised information into each email, such as the customer's name and invoice number, and appears almost exactly the same to you aswhat it will to your customer (some variations may exist depending on what email program your customer uses and what filters they may have in place).
The screenshot below shows how one such email may appear:
We hope you enjoy this added level of control and certainty prior to each send and look forward to rolling out more enhancements and new features in the future.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that, after a brief false start regarding our payment gateway, the xocashflow add-on for Xero is now live and active.
This tool makes the process of chasing up overdue invoices simple, streamlined and effective for Xero users. The system syncs your overdue invoices down from Xero, sorts them according to how aged they are and allows you to send reminders to all those you want to chase up in a single batch.
Check out our screenshots gallery for a look inside the system.
xocashflow is currently available to users of Xero who are based within Australia, New Zealand or the United States, with support for additional countries coming soon. To sign up, click here.
It was expected that xocashflow would officially launch today, but choosing to launch on the 13th proved typically unlucky, with a PayPal integration issue causing a temporary setback.
We had originally used PayPal Website Payments Pro to handle the membership signup process in an extremely streamlined fashion, without requiring customers to leave the xocashflow website at any stage during the signup process. It wasn't until taking this system live, however, that we discovered PayPal Website Payments Pro does not support recurring billing within Australia.
As a result, we've changed the membership signup process to one that employs Website Payments Standard, which does support recurring billing for Australian merchants. This now requires that new xocashflow users jump across to the PayPal website briefly during the signup process, before returning here.
We'll look to implement the more inclusive Website Payments Pro as soon as recurring billing support is in place for Australian merchants, and hope that the alternative is well received in the meantime.
We now expect xocashflow to launch to Australian, New Zealand and United States businesses on either Wednesday 14 March or Thursday 15 March.
The successful debut of any new software product owes a lot to those behind-the-scenes who thoroughly test a system prior to launch. While developers carry out their own testing while building a piece of software, it's not until real world customers jump in and put a product through its paces that the robustness and usability of a system is really put to trial.
Fortunately for us and for future users of xocashflow, a number of Xero fans volunteered to beta test this product prior to launch. These ranged from small business owners with a few dozen overdue invoices in their system, through to accredited Xero Partners and financial planners who deliver training and recommendations to other Xero clients.
This process was invaluble in ensuring that xocashflow contains features, safeguards and functionality enhancements that aren't found in other competing debtor management systems in this price range. Feedback that we received helped to guide our hands in creating a much more usable system that guides people through the account setup, data synching and email delivery processes.
Other systems in the market (including xocashflow until a couple of weeks ago) left customers guessing as to exactly what was helping, when emails would send and to whom reminders were about to go. xocashflow now removes much of this confusion from the process, providing a safer and more informed experience for Xero users.
So, on behalf of the xocashflow team, I extend a hearty "THANKS" to all those who have taken part in our beta program (as well as to those who have just started testing). Together, we've made this a product in-tune with the needs of the Xero community, which will hopefully prove indispensable for Xero users in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
